Description

The Senior Project Manager is a highly skilled professional responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex and high-impact projects within the organization. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership capabilities, and advanced communication and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors.  

 

 

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
 

Leadership & Oversight:  

- Take full ownership of planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects that have a significant impact on client organizations.  
- Oversee and provide guidance to project managers and teams, ensuring all project deliverables are achieved on time, and aligned with organizational goals.  
- Delegate tasks effectively to external contractors, and consultants, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of high-quality outputs.  

Financial & Risk Management:  

- Develop and implement project controls, risk management strategies, and contingency plans to mitigate potential challenges.  

Engagement & Communication:  

- Act as the primary point of contact for management, stakeholders, and third-party vendors, ensuring effective communication and alignment on objectives.  
- Collaborate with management to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while maintaining regular updates on project progress and performance.  

Operational Excellence:  

- Establish and monitor key metrics and KPIs to measure project success and performance.  
- Lead teams through the execution phase, ensuring all tasks are completed according to quality standards and timelines.  

Team Development:  

- Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to team members, building a high-performing workforce.  

Business Development Support:  

- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for growth and expansion of project delivery capabilities.  

Skills & Competencies  

- Proven ability to manage small / large-scale, complex projects and portfolios within ICT sector a plus.  
- Strong English communication skills for managing client relationships.  
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management, with a focus on delivering within scope and timeline.  
- Advanced proficiency in developing project metrics, KPIs, and risk management frameworks.  
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach with the ability to lead and inspire teams.  

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is essential for success in this role. Relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in project management. Relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: A strong track record in project management, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role, managing high-impact projects and delivering exceptional results.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and build effective partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Tableau and Power BI is strongly preferred, underscoring our focus on data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.
